SETTING
Bedroom, mostly empty except for a bed, a nightstand, and a dresser. The walls are white, and overly quite bland.

GUY and GIRL enter.

	GUY
Yeah, we broke up last night. 

	GIRL
I'm sorry to hear it. (beat) You are still interested in me, right?

	GUY
You were quick on that...

	GIRL
It's been on my mind.

	GUY
Well, this is very soon, I mean, it only happened last night. And on top of that, it's not fair.

GUY sits down on floor, leaning against bed.

	GUY (cont'd)
I've slept with other girls, I've done things with other girls. How many people have you slept with? (beat) None.

GIRL talks as she lays down, her head on his lap facing up at him.

        GIRL
How many have you slept with?

	GUY
Well, just her. But that doesn't make it fair, by any means.

	GIRL
Doesn't matter to me, that's the past.

	GUY
It's just not fair!

GUY gets up and GIRL follows him in smooth motion, as if she anticipated his leaving.

	GIRL
Some things matter to some people, these things don't to me!

GUY walks back to bed and plops down over the covers. GIRL follows him and resumes her position with her head on his lap.

	GUY
I can't believe you actually want to do this.

	GIRL
It's just dating, right?

	GUY
Either you are naive or ....

        GIRL
I'm not naive, just inexperienced.

Fade to black; come back now with them under covers, "cuddling".

	GUY
We've been here over an hour, and you still haven't had your first kiss.

	GIRL
Much less my first lay.

        GUY
You were right about not being naive.
